Chew on This: Barbeque Love Bites

Bessinger's Barbeque is launching its first "Love at First Bite" Valentine contest for the best love stories that started over Bessinger's barbeque. Couples may submit stories of how Bessinger's barbeque was the main ingredient in their love affair at bessingersbbq.com. Ten couples with the best stories will win two gift certificates for two barbeque sandwiches or choice of two sauces. The stories must be submitted by March 21. In addition, Bessinger's Web site is accepting entries for the "Raising the 'Bar' in Barbeque" contest that runs through April 21 in honor of the restaurant's 60th anniversary. Participants can submit their recipes featuring Bessinger's sauces, barbeque rub, or a combination of both. The winner will receive a year's supply of signature sauces. Additional prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in several categories. Bessinger's Barbeque is located at 1602 Savannah Highway in West Ashley.
