Wins Top Honor from National Barbecue News

CHARLESTON, S.C. –Bessinger’s
Barbeque, a renowned Charleston restaurant celebrating its 60th
anniversary of serving up mouth-watering barbeque, has been named
number one barbeque restaurant by National Barbecue News, a monthly
publication that is dedicated to the sport and recreation of barbecue.
Michael Bessinger, co-owner of the famed Charleston restaurant,
submitted their barbeque sauce in a sauce contest and instead
was rewarded the prestigious honor of being named overall best
restaurant. “We’re so proud to be celebrating 60 years of great

National Barbecue News, based in Douglas, Ga. aims to introduce
